Why is Storytelling quickly becoming the best way to entertain children, again?
Storytelling is an age old way to bring community together. Before there was theatre, film, and books - we simply listened to each other tell stories.
The art of storytelling is an incredible tradition and is woven into everything we do at Camp Magic. All of the programs are created around stories. Why? Because no matter how much children love their screen time, listening to a story by a live teller never gets old. Ever.
Children are easily able to enter the world of their imaginations. Too much scrolling and gaming and passive “watching” can rob children of much needed time to enter into their own mind scapes. Again and again we have witnessed the magic of children sitting and listening together to stories. Do you remember your favourite story from your own childhood?
