FAQ’s

Over 133 weeks of holiday programs in 22 years. There have definitely been a few frequently asked questions we hope to answer here!
1. What if I am early dropping off my child?
We ask that parents stay with their children until the start time. Even if the staff are setting up the playground, they are often going in and outside, and finishing up planning with the team. The safety of your child is our priority, so we want to make sure we are watching them carefully at all times!
2. Does Camp Magic provide lunch and snacks?
In short, no. In the past we offered snack (morning tea) to all the campers. But we find that with the growing variety of dietary needs - it’s better that you send a packed lunch and snack that your child likes and is able to safely eat. And we will do our very best to ensure your son/daughter does just that!! Eats the food you sent.
3. My child is shy and has difficult time saying good-bye to me at school. I am worried she/he is going to struggle at camp with the same issue.
First of all - this is not a new situation for us - at all! We have had many years of experience working through this scenario and ensuring that your child feels welcome, safe, and secure. Please let us know on the form if this is a regular occurrence at school. We also welcome a phone conversation before camp starts so we can make sure the first day goes as smooth as possible. The most important thing to do is relax - and know your child is in good hands. We are very happy to work through this transition with your child.
4. Pick Up Time - What if I’m late?
We ask that parents/helpers aim to pick up at 3pm. That way by 3:15pm all the campers will be on their way home, and we can start planning for the next day! Camp Magic is a busy, long day for our teams. They work hard from 7am to 5pm each day preparing art projects, songs, dances, and lots of meetings to go through each camp day. Please do your best to be on time.
5. What if my child has unique learning needs?
On the registration form we ask that you share with us if there is anything additional we should know. Please share with us if your child(ren) have any sort of additional needs. We will do our best to ensure they have the very best experience in our program. As long as your son/daughter is enrolled in school or home schooled they are qualified to come to our program. We are inclusive, and our staff are well trained. That said, if your child has a shadow teacher at school, you will need to provide a shadow teacher in the program.
6. Is the program the same?
The Camp Magic program is never the same. Ever. And we mean that. Variety is the spice of life. Every camp week has a different story, and we build different and new activities around each story. Shhhhhh! Don’t tell anyone. That’s our trade secret. And even though you may look at our activity sections and it SEEMS like your child will be doing some of the same stuff - each camp will challenge your child physically and mentally in entirely new ways.
In Singapore - we had Camp Magic families who sent their children over and over again - multiple weeks for multiple years. A lot of those Camp Magic “kids” are now grown up, and wanting to come and work with our program!! So that’s proof in the pudding, as they say.
7. What’s the daily schedule at Camp Magic?
Camp Magic is a wonderful mix of outdoor and indoor play and creativity. Children (ages 4 - 12yrs) are stimulated both mentally and physically by the incredible range of what is on offer at each camp.
Here are the important starts, breaks, and finishes to note:

The balance of time is a rich and very rhythmic blend of rotational activities that are theme specific and all working towards an end-of-week art show and performance each Friday. One of the things that attributes to our continuous success as a program over the years is the intricate symphony of story, circus, song, art, craft, little lands, movement, drama games, even soccer. We work with the child throughout each day ensuring they are kept safe while having an exhilarating camp experience.
