YAHOO!
We can’t wait to meet all of YOU!!

Camp Magic is power packed with amazing fun for everyone.

There is so much to choose from in our Camp Magic programs.  The “SPOTLIGHT” section gives you an idea of the features we will focus on most for our end of week performances and art displays.

JUGGLING

Why learn to juggle?

Juggling has so many benefits for growing brains.  It helps with hand-eye coordination, encourages quick reflexes, engages the upper body, boosts spacial awareness and problem-solving WHILE building persistence, confidence, focus and concentration.

So perhaps the better question is - why NOT learn to juggle?!!

WEAVING WONDER

Small loom weaving is simple, calming, and rhythmic.

It keeps busy minds and bodies active and focused, while creating something beautiful.

The simple act of weaving is for both boys and girls. We are learning quickly that all children need more ways to disengage from the constant stimulation of the digital world.  Weaving offers a healthy alternative that can very quickly and effectively inspire peace and quiet.

DRUMMING

Give it a go!

Has your child ever had an opportunity to drum in circle with friends and/or family?  Each week at Camp Magic all children are given time to drum and experience the exhilaration of group rhythms.

A drum circle connects and elevates. When we drum together - we breathe and move together.  And through this community grows.

MUSIC

What would the world be without songs to sing and music to listen to?

Camp Magic gives children plenty of opportunities to explore music learning through song creating, singing, uke, guitar, and drums.

Our talented musicians Stephen Cheong and Dan Kohane have multiple years experience teaching children music and song writing.

FLAGS

Flag Fun for Everyone!

Flags at Camp Magic were introduced into the program several years ago by actor Alberto Martinez.  Since then we have been fortunate to have new types of flags introduced by flow artists Shouniez Johnson and Shaheen Van Der Schiff.

There are several colours, textures, flag shapes for children to choose from this Solstice.  We will focus a lot on developing flag routines for our performances.

CIRCUS

Gentle Acrobats and Colourful Ribbons

Our Circus Arts program will feature long ribbons and gentle acrobats this December.  Children will be given the opportunity to develop simple floor routines that will bring new layers to our performances through the careful direction of performance artist Carlos Calvomulas.
